Conservative it is..

Yesterday after work I went to vote, and then walked my baby (dog) with my mom.  We went for a long one since it was so nice out.  For dinner I made brown rice spaghetti with organic pasta sauce and soy crumbles, a bit of guacamole with a side salad and some garlic bread made with Ezekial, earth balance and garlic powder! 

Then later on, me and my friend went for “coffee” to a cute little coffee shop.  I can’t drink coffee at night, or I wouldn’t sleep.  So I got a vanilla tea, and it was so good!  Then we went to see her step-mom and dad’s new apartment.  It was extremely nice, and on the water.  We stayed for like 3 hours and talked, hah.  Then she brought out wheat thins, which are delicious and evil 🙂  Stephen Harper won the election again, so I guess it’s back at the start.

Today for breakfast I had pumpkin oats, surprise surprise and coffee.  Lunch was packed leftover spaghetti from last night and some pineapple.

After work I was super tired, so I had a nap.  Much needed.  For some reason this morning I woke up at like 6:15…and thought it was the middle of the night because it’s so dark out now in the morning.  It took a long time to fall back asleep.  Anyways, I woke up from my nap and went for a really long walk, and then came home and lifted weights.  Then I had a shower, and cooked dinner.  I decided to make some Kidney  Bean Burgers!  I added :

A can of drained organic kidney beans

Diced clove of garlic

Tbsp diced onion

Handful of wheat crackers, crushed

Dried hot pepper flakes

Tbsp of hot chili sauce

 

I mashed it all with a potato masher, and formed it into patties, which was grilled on a pan with some canola oil.  I served one on an Ezekial hamburger bun, with Veganaise and ketchup, a side salad with Annie’s Goddess dressing, steamed broccoli, and a little blob of leftover mashed potatoes. 

Dessert was a little slice of pumpkin pie, and the last ED&BV cookie.  My teabag fortune says “Let Things Come to You” !  So mysterious…hahaha
